Dr Ashish Sharma who is a world renowned retina specialist. He was trained at US topmost ophthalmology institute Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami. He served as faculty at University of California, Irvine, USA. After returning from US he developed a retina imaging device “MII Ret Cam” which has made the diabetic retinopathy screening cost effective in 40 countries till date. He has been awarded by All India Ophthalmic Society and American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has been invited by Honorable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi regarding his innovation. Recently, he developed a treatment to reduce the cost of treatment for patients who suffer from vision difficulty due to diabetes. His work is published by leading scientific journal such as American Academy of Ophthalmology, British Journal of Ophthalmology, European Journal of Ophthalmology etc.
